What is The Music Run?
- It’s a unique 5km fun run that blends fitness with a music festival experience. Often described as “Asia’s Fittest Party.”
- The entire 5km running course is lined with speakers pumping out a continuous stream of music, creating an energetic and festival-like atmosphere.
- The event culminates in a post-run music festival with live DJs and entertainment.
The Singapore 2025 Edition:
- Venue: F1 Pit Building, 1 Republic Boulevard, Singapore. This offered scenic views of the downtown Marina Bay area as part of the running route.
- Schedule (April 5, 2025):
- 5:30 PM: Gates Open
- 7:00 PM: Warm Up
- 7:15 PM: Flag Off (start chute opened, with flag-offs every 3 minutes)
- 8:30 PM: Finish Line Festival / Music Party Begins
- 10:00 PM: End of Event
- The Run: A 5km non-competitive run. The course aimed to be a “Sound Track,” with music playing throughout. There were also “Course Activations” along the way, such as stilt walkers, drummers, and a keytarist, in addition to the music.
- The Music Festival: After crossing the finish line, participants could enjoy a 1.5-hour Electronic Dance Music (EDM) party with live DJs (Sam Withers and Black Murphy, hosted by Jesse Lawrence).
- Race Pack: Participants received an event t-shirt, a drawstring bag, a finisher medal, a foam glow stick, and a tattoo sticker.
- Race Pack Collection: Held at the F1 Pit Building on Friday, April 4th, and Saturday, April 5th.
- Target Audience: The event is open to everyone, regardless of running experience. It’s family-friendly and encourages participants to run, jog, walk, or even dance along the route.
- Atmosphere: High-energy, vibrant, and focused on fun rather than competition.
